Meet our St James the Less ‘Angel of the Church’
We painted the angel on Pentecost Sunday 2008 to help us think about who we are in God as a church, our character and our calling.
Some special features:
- Our angel is big and multicolored and is not a shrinking violet. he has one blue eye and one brown eye because we come from many different backgrounds in our church
- Our angel has big feet firmly on the ground because we are committed to God and our community
- Our angel is playing an instrument because we like to worship God with music
- Our angel has big wings and long arms because we want to be a caring and loving community
- Our angel has a bible because we love scripture
- Our angel has a chicken and a chocolate bomb because we do like our food
